STOCKTON – Stagg High School’s Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement team has built a local dynasty.
The four-member team of Dellanira Alcauter, 17, Anthony Nichols, 18, Brooklyn Omstead, 17, and Gabriel Zuniga, 17, took first place in the state MESA Engineering Design Challenge at University of the Pacific last week and is heading to Portland, Ore., to compete nationally. It’s the second time in three years that Stagg will represent the state in national competition. Stagg won the national contest in 2012.
