These sessions create a private, respectful space to engage in honest dialogue about experiences, challenges and topics that may not always feel safe to explore in other settings.

"The engagement from students and staff. It really highlights the value of having a forum for everyone to engage and share. Having relevant, timely and relatable topics to discuss is the key."

"Everyone. The primary focus is for students but we find staff, MESA directors and others find value in participating. The upcoming director focused session speaks to that."
Q: Why is it important for sessions like these to be available to MESA students, alumni and staff?
"It's important for everyone to have a space where they can share their needs, questions, concerns, worries, thoughts and feelings. As well as a place and space to share triumphs, successes, be supported and celebrated. It's another way to connect, be connected within the comfort of a supportive community. Our extended MESA family."
