MESA has long relied on organizations and individuals to help support our students so they can succeed.
Opportunities are available to help MESA regionally as well as statewide.
The Riordan Foundation provided $10,000 in support of a high school MESA program in Los Angeles that would have closed due to lack of funding in 2012-2013. The support made it possible for students in the school to engage in high-level STEM activities and to form relationships with university-based mentors. With the help of the foundation’s funding, the program started a robotics team, students took a computer programming online summer college course and earned college credits. Eight graduating seniors who participated in the program transferred to universities, five of whom pursued STEM.
If your foundation has a strong emphasis on education, especially for educationally
disadvantaged, underserved or historically underrepresented populations, please notify us of
upcoming grant opportunities.
